About Rowell

Fashion Business Consultant

I’m a seasoned fashion sales executive with over a decade of experience. I have helped contemporary designers form relationships with online retailers from Net-A-Porter to Moda Operandi, trendsetting boutiques like Intermix, and department stores from Neiman Marcus to Nordstrom.  I specialize in fine and costume jewelry, hats and hair, leather goods, and soft accessories.

Sales is the heart of any business, and I am here to help you turn your art into a full-fledged fashion business. Let’s talk merchandising. Let’s dive into strategy.

My Story

How I Got Started

When it comes to dreams, is it smarter to follow your heart or your head? I left the heart of Southern California in 2010 to move to New York and attend The Fashion Institute of Technology. And just like that, I followed both.

With grit and glamour, I landed a coveted internship at Balenciaga during the same year. The experience opened doors for me at contemporary multi-line showrooms as well as brands from Alexander Wang to Haus Alkire.

In 2015, a Brooklyn store owner cheekily asked if I would ever branch out on my own and if I wanted to connect with a designer who was looking for an independent sales executive. I took the meeting, and everything clicked. Word spread the following week and within 1 month I established my very first business, a sales showroom called Creative Projects Division.

Alongside CPD, I launched my own hat brand, Binata Millinery, in 2020. I am a first generation Filipino American and during my first trip to The Philippines, my parents took me aside and shared their dream for me. It was not to become a doctor or a lawyer, but to start a business to help the community – our community. It is my mission to build a design studio in the US, and eventually teach and train artisans the craft in my parents’ hometowns in The Philippines.

With a love for art and fashion and a knack for business, I am here to help emerging designers develop brand strategies with longevity.

"Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life."

BILL CUNNINGHAM

"A little bad taste is like a nice splash of paprika. We all need a splash of bad taste—it's hearty, it's healthy, it's physical. I think we could use more of it. No taste is what I'm against."

DIANA VREELAND

"Style is the only thing you can’t buy. It’s not in a shopping bag, a label, or a price tag. It’s something reflected from our soul to the outside world—an emotion.”
